Overview
The Franklin Township School District has proposed a $2.8 million bond referendum to address critical infrastructure and facility improvements. This bond aims to enhance the safety, functionality and efficiency of our school facilities to better serve our students and staff.
Key Projects:
1. Upgrades to Building Interior - $1.67 million
- Upgrade to preschool classrooms - Renovations and alterations to classrooms to include adding restrooms
- Main Office and Nurse’s Suite Reconfiguration - Renovations and alterations to expand Nurse’s Suite for more efficient use of space which requires adjustments to the main office
- Acquisition and installation of Emergency Generator - Alterations to existing building to design and install a new emergency generator
2. Parking Lot Improvements - $1.12 million
- Improvements and repairs to the existing parking lot to expand parking and create a new and safer traffic pattern for drop off / pick up
Why is the Bond Needed?
These improvements will allow Franklin Township School District to better meet the needs of its students and staff, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. This investment in our facilities is aligned with our Long-Range Facility Plan and will provide lasting benefits for years to come.
Voting Information
The bond referendum will be on the ballot for the November 5, 2024 election. To vote, you must be registered by October 15, 2024. To register or confirm your registration, visit Hunterdon County Board of Elections website.
