Franklin Township School Strategic Plan Update

Franklin Township School District
5 Year Strategic Plan: 2018-2023

In this atmosphere of challenge and change, the Franklin Township School Board of Education has involved the school community to help them ensure a bright future for their school. The future is also at the forefront as they began a new strategic planning process in March 2018. This five- year plan (2018-2023) will enable the school to keenly focus on their instructional programs and the comprehensive supports that they provide to their students. We have involved participation and wisdom by the school community in this process.

The process began in May of 2018, with a survey to the community about their thoughts on the new strategic plan and continued with reflection sessions, with the school board of education, staff and parents. We continued this process which enabled us to create a blueprint for the next level of excellence in teaching and learning in our school, with a stronger-than-ever emphasis on student achievement. We involved parents, community members, school board members, professional and support staff, administrators, and students as part of this team.

As a result of the survey responses and reflection sessions, the following areas became the focus of further development during the many Strategic Planning Team sessions:

  • Excellence in Education (Student Achievement)
  • The Whole Child (Social, Emotional Growth and Well-Being)
  • Facilities and Financial Resilience
